Restore & strengthen

Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation

Targeted exercises and hands-on therapy to rebuild strength, restore mobility and get you moving comfortably again — while helping prevent re-injury down the road.

Care that complements your adjustments

How physical therapy fits in

Chiropractic adjustments relieve pressure and restore alignment, but lasting results depend on the muscles and movement patterns that support your spine and joints. Physical therapy builds that foundation so the relief you feel after an adjustment actually holds.

Your program may combine corrective exercises, guided stretching, manual (hands-on) therapy and supporting modalities. The goal is to rebuild strength, improve flexibility, retrain healthy movement patterns and reduce the risk of future injury.

Helps with:

  • Post-injury recovery
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Chronic back & neck pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Poor posture
  • Balance & mobility

Questions

Physical therapy FAQ

Do I need a referral to get started?

In Massachusetts you can often begin care without a physician referral, though your specific insurance plan may have its own requirements. We're happy to review your situation and let you know what to expect — just give us a call at (508) 698-0688.

How is this different from chiropractic care?

Chiropractic adjustments focus on aligning the spine and joints to relieve pressure and restore movement. Physical therapy focuses on the muscles and movement around them — using exercise, stretching and manual therapy to rebuild strength and stability. The two work well together, and many patients benefit from both.

How long does a program take?

It varies. The length depends on your condition, how long you've had it and your goals. After your evaluation we'll give you a realistic estimate, and we'll reassess along the way and adjust the plan as you progress.

Is physical therapy covered by insurance?

Many plans include physical therapy or rehabilitation benefits, but coverage and visit limits vary by plan. We recommend checking with your insurer about your specific benefits — and our team can help answer questions about the process.
